Campaigns Configuration

In this section, you can configure key elements that are shared across campaigns, including reusable email templates, campaign grouping via touchpoints, sender identities, and predefined test recipients.

Email Templates

Email templates let you define reusable layouts for each brand. A template typically includes:

  • A branded header with logo and navigation links
  • A sample content structure or empty content block
  • A footer with disclaimers, unsubscribe links, and social media icons

When creating a new campaign, you’ll be able to select from available templates based on the associated brand.

You can create multiple templates per brand — for example, one for online shoppers and another for brick-and-mortar store customers.

Touchpoints

Touchpoints are used to classify events and interactions in Mercury. They fall into two categories:

  • Campaign Events, such as:

    • New product launches
    • Seasonal or promotional campaigns (e.g. Black Friday)
    • Sales announcements
  • Customer Events, such as:

    • Store visits
    • Product demos
    • Appointments
    • Loyalty tier upgrades

Touchpoints help with:

  • Campaign grouping: Analyze and compare campaign types (e.g. performance of 20% vs. 40% discount offers).
  • Customer segmentation: For example, target customers who haven’t booked an appointment in the last 6 months.

Message Senders

Define the available sender identities for each channel (Email, SMS, Viber). When scheduling a campaign, you can select which sender will be shown to recipients.

Example: Use a different sender name for customer support vs. promotional messages.

warning

Some message senders, particularly for Viber, require additional setup and approval from the message gateway provider. You may need to submit documentation to activate a sender.
➡️ See the Admin Guide for full setup instructions.

Test Recipients

Test recipients allow you to send trial versions of your campaign without manually entering recipient information each time.

Recipients are grouped into:

  • Internal Testers – Typically the campaign team, QA, or marketing users involved in setup and review
  • External Testers – Stakeholders such as clients or managers who approve the final version

For each tester, you can define:

  • Email address
  • Mobile number
  • Whether they should receive Email, SMS/Viber, or both

This ensures accurate previews across channels before sending out the actual campaign.
